The Peanuts Movie opens on November 6th, and Safeway stores are getting ready for the premiere with an in-store promotion and sweepstakes! My kids were excited months ago, when they first saw that the movie was coming!
When my oldest son, Carter, was just a little guy and about to celebrate his first Halloween, my mom and I showed him “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and he was hooked! He would giggle, reliably, every time it first showed Snoopy. Soon enough the film became a year-round favorite, not just viewed at Halloween!
Of course then we had to introduce The Easter Beagle, and other Peanuts holiday movies to our kids. All three of them just love the movies and the Peanuts characters.
The Albertsons Safeway family of local grocery stores are the exclusive grocery partner for the Peanuts movie, and they are currently providing shoppers with exclusive reusable Peanuts-branded shopping bags / trick-or-treat bags! These bags are now available in stores as a free (with purchase, while supplies last) trick-or-treat bag given to shoppers who purchase three participating items.

We decided to combine our items into a delicious treat and called it Snoopy’s Spooky Snack Mix!
We popped some Pop Secret popcorn, then added in some Kellogg’s Apple Jacks and crushed Nestle Butterfingers as a topping. Our final creation had all the colors and flavors of fall and Halloween!
Our spooky snack mix is perfect to put into some Ziploc bags and hand out to trick-or-treaters, take to a class Halloween party, or to enjoy with a movie!
