Skinny Limits Review

by Megan

I received the Skinny Limits Juice Cleanse for free as part of the Moms Meets program, for the purpose of writing this Skinny Limits review. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agreed to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of the product.

The new year is all about starting over fresh, and that’s exactly what the Skinny Limits Juice Cleanse is all about.

Skinny Limits was founded by Cary and Joanie Frieden, two avid juicers who wanted to spread their passion for raw foods. Skinny Limits makes it possible to find a completely natural and raw cleanse, because Skinny Limits juices are made without pasteurization or processing. They are completely natural and raw, as well as being vegan and gluten-free.

Here the thing, you guys. You can do a quick search and find plenty of bloggers who have reviewed this cleanse from the viewpoint of getting healthy and eating all natural and all that. I’m not an expert on those things. Shall I be honest? I just want to look hot. Healthy is good too, but let me just be honest about my intentions. I want to lose weight.

The focus of the Skinny Limits cleanse is not to lose weight, however, and people have had varying results as far as that goes. Whether or not you lose weight during the cleanse, you should end the cleanse feeling like you want to eat more healthy foods in the future.

So here was my experience with Skinny Limits…

My Skinny Limits juices were sent directly to my doorstep, and I began the cleanse the following morning. There was a weather issue that delayed my first package, but the company sent out another one right away.

I weighed myself that first morning to see what the difference would be after the 3-day cleanse. I started at the lower end of my normal weight fluctuation.

There are 6 juices in the Skinny Limits cleanse, and you space them out evenly throughout the day (after beginning the day with just some warm lemon juice). I got the standard cleanse, so three of the juices were the same each day (a combination of kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber, apple, and lemon), and a fourth juice was the same with ginger added.

This is a LOT of juice. I have to admit that I did not make it through all 6 bottles each day. If you are used to drinking vegetable or “green” juice, then you will probably be just fine. I am extremely picky and found the green juices to be drinkable, but not tasty. But I did okay with them, and if I could drink them, as picky as I am, I think most people would be just fine!

I was always relieved in the mid-afternoon when it was time for my scorpion lemonade! No, there are no actual scorpions in the juice, but if you give me a minute I could probably find one in my house to put in there for you. #justkidding #kindof  The “kick” in the scorpion lemonade is thanks to cayenne pepper, but I thought it tasted great.

Speaking of tasting great… the BEST part of each day was the evening, when I had my last juice of the day, the Crescent Moon (Cashew Nut Milk). So delicious. It has cinnamon in it, which made it taste like dessert! Definitely a great reward after a day of only drinking vegetable juice!

On the morning after I completed the cleanse, I weighed myself. I lost 4 pounds! And I was at my (then) lowest weight since having my baby in June! Definitely pleased, especially since I started the cleanse at a lower weight for me, as opposed to stuffing myself the day before and “losing” 4 pounds.

Even better than the fact that I lost 4 pounds is the fact that not only have I kept it off, but I’ve lost two more pounds since completing the cleanse.

I was already not eating sugar, but I had let my other eating habits go to heck, so this was a great way to kickstart getting back on track. Since then I have tried to cut back on carbs, and I have seen good results.

So if you are interested in doing a juice cleanse, and if having completely raw and natural juice is important to you, I would definitely steer you toward Skinny Limits! Give them a visit and tell them I sent you!

I did a juice cleanse once – but it didn’t include Cashew Milk. That sounds delicious – having a special drink to look forward at the end of the day would have made it a bit easier.
