Season’s Flavorites at Denny’s

by Megan

Whether you love to cook or try to stay out of the kitchen as much as possible, everyone enjoys a dinner out once in awhile, especially during the busy holiday season. Denny’s has outdone themselves this season, with their “Season’s Flavorites” menu, with meals like Pumpkin Pancakes, Apple Danish Stuffed French Toast, and (my favorite) the Red Velvet Pancake Puppies.

Denny’s “Season Flavorites” menu is available now, and will be through the end of the year. Now you can eat out and still enjoy your favorite holiday meal must-haves!

“For more than 60 years, eating at Denny’s has become a much-loved holiday tradition and a time for family and friends to enjoy great food and quality time together. We believe that time spent at the table should be about making memories and being with your loved ones, which is why each year we strive to offer a hassle-free holiday celebration that combines the festive flavors our guests know and love, with the same value and variety that we provide every day.”

– John Dillon, vice president of marketing for Denny’s

With our busy schedules, we’ve found ourselves enjoying both late night and mid-afternoon meals at Denny’s over the past few weeks!

Everyone knows about Denny’s Grand Slam, but now you can Build Your Own Holiday Slam, including new choices like the Pumpkin Pancakes and Gingerbread French Toast.

If you’re in the mood for a Thanksgiving-style meal, try the Hot Turkey Dipper: tender sliced turkey breast topped with melted Swiss cheese, Onion Tanglers, and mayo sit inside grilled ciabatta bread and served with a choice of stuffing or wavy-cut French fries with cranberry sauce and gravy.

I mentioned the Apple Danish Stuffed French Toast; this is a dish that was created by Ryan Abramson, on the TNT show “On the Menu,” where cooks compete to get their dishes on the menus of national restaurants. His dish features two slices of French toast, drizzled with cinnamon sauce, and stuffed with a mix of whipped cream cheese and warm apple filling, served with hash browns topped with crumbled chorizo sausage and onions. The episode is available to watch on TNT’s website. I love cooking competition shows (maybe because I think I’ll learn something!), so I will definitely be checking it out!

And speaking of shows, Denny’s has started a new animated webseries called “The Grand Slams,” which features characters from their Grand Slam dish: Egg, Pancake, Sausage, and Bacon! I watched a few of their short episodes with my 6-year-old, and we were both laughing!

Usually I have some of my holiday shopping done by now, but so far this year I have hardly even thought about it! Some holiday shopping is definitely in order, and I can think of nothing better than sitting down to a delicious meal at Denny’s, after shopping my heart out! I love the holiday season, and I can definitely see eating out at Denny’s becoming a family tradition…especially if they keep bringing back those Red Velvet Pancake Puppies!
