So my dad started the month with some weight loss goals of his own and lost something like 18 pounds in the first 10 days, so I was inspired. Inspired to ask him for some hardcore motivation.
That’s right. My dad agreed to buy me a Kindle Fire if I reach my weight loss goals this year. He said he would get it for me if I reached my goal by the end of the year, but I don’t have that much time! I expect to be full-on expecting by the end of the year, so I’M trying to reach my goal by the end of August, in time for my half-marathon.
Considering where I’m at and where I want to be, I basically need to lose 0.4 pounds every day. I’m happy to say that I’m two days ahead of myself at this point, which is great, but I’m sure that at some point I will need that two-day bumper!
Friday the 11th was my starting date, and in the first 4 days I’ve lost 2.5 pounds. Nothing extreme, but slow and steady is more likely to stick, and this way I hopefully won’t go hormonal and eat everything in sight. I haven’t had a Coke for four days now, so luckily those cravings are mostly gone. That just means that I have to never drink a soda again, because as soon as I do, the little demon cravings will come back full force. It’s like I’m an alcoholic. I’m a Cokeaholic. Cocacolaholic.
Anyway, wish me luck and hard work so I can reach my goal and get my sweet prize!
