Christmas 2012: In Photos

by Megan

I guess it’s time to get caught up on the holidays, before we continue any further into 2013! Here’s a look at our 2012 Christmas festivities, through photos:

Making (and eating) a gingerbread house with Gramma
Christmas pajama photo shoot
BIG presents of BIG waffle blocks, and the train track we made
Opening presents with my family, outside
Christmas Eve at home- Claymation Christmas, nativity story (Vanessa was Mary), and sibling gifts

Okay, I have to elaborate on the nativity story. It was so cute! Daniel helped the kids make the “stable” with the couches and a blanket, and then we told Vanessa to put her baby under her shirt!

Carter and Vanessa were Mary and Joseph, and Daniel turned the lights off and told them to knock on all the doors in our hallway. Carter knocked on the doors, and we told him there was no room, and then we sent them out to the stable. They crawled in and Vanessa took the baby out.

Then Daniel went into the kitchen and pretended to be a shepherd, and he told Carter to be the angel. He must have told Carter what to say ahead of time, because Carter was all prepared! He said, “Don’t be scared. Good news! Baby Jesus is born…he’s around this corner, follow me!”

And that was pretty much it, but it was really cute!

We had a wonderful Christmas, and we hope you did too!
